Hello, I just posted a review of your game on November 23rd 2008 on my blog The Conscious Gamer at www.consciousgamer.blogspot.com. I will also be posting the same review on the Gamers of Action website (www.gamersofaction.org), a non-profit video game organization for socially conscious gamers who want to use their gaming skills to enact positive social change. As socially conscious game developers, let me know if you would be interested in joining Gamers of Action. I would also appreciate any review feedback you could give so I can produce better reviews in the future.
Although I only got through to level 2, I did enjoy the game VERY much. I consider myself mildly well-informed on the Hurricane, and I didn't know that Cuba offered to send over doctors but were denied! Thanks for that!
One thing about the instructions: it doesn't say anything about how to respond to the "Help"s, or does it (my mind is going, I could've easily forgot!). I received the hammer, but I didn't remember if I was instructed on how to use it. Maybe having a frame embedded on the game page of the controls would help folks go farther?
I think you guys are AWESOME! Your creativity, initiative, and dedication (no doubt you guys didn't finish this overnight) is to be applauded!
I am going to be sharing this with some of my students tomorrow, I will have them come back and give you all feedback!
Great job! I'm looking forward to coming back and getting farther along. I will let all of my teacher friends know about this game, and get my teenager to spread the word among her friends. I'm surprised that more people don't know about this game - I will try to get the word out!
I am no gamer by any means but the flying trash was kind of annoying when you are just getting used to to the interface. I want to know more but can't get past the initial scene.
